ARTS D&G has joined forces with fellow rural performing arts organisations Live Borders, North East Arts Touring and The Touring Network (Highlands & Islands) to bring Beyond Edinburgh: Rural Touring in Scotland to this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
The event provides an opportunity for artists and industry professionals to discover how rural touring works across Scotland and how performers can connect with touring networks, promoters, opportunities and new audiences beyond the Fringe. Hosted as a free event for artists, the session highlights the vital role that rural touring plays in bringing high-quality performance to village halls, community venues and arts centres across the country, while creating valuable pathways for artists to take their work into communities beyond Scotland’s major cities.
